Job description: I started writing code for a new product. An in-ear thermometer marketed towards children that sends temperature readings to a smartphone. I worked with a development board made by Nordic Semiconductor. Most of my work involved learning how to use the Bluetooth low energy stack provided by Nordic (lots of library calls). It was useful to get practice reading through documentation, posting on forums, etc. but could be pretty monotonous at times. I started this project week 2 and finished week 11, so the level of responsibility was relatively constant. It was good practice working with real components that I might use in the future in another context.
